The Philippines on Saturday recorded a total number of 3,094 positive coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) cases in the country.
“As of 4 p.m. today, the Department of Health reports 76 new cases (PH3,019 – PH3,094) of COVID-19,” the DOH said in their latest report.
“Total number of cases in the country is now at 3,094,” they said.
The DOH also reported eight new deaths, bringing the total number of deaths to 144.
The DOH also announced five new recoveries, bringing the total number of recoveries to 57.
The government plans to conduct mass testing of persons under investigation (PUIs) and persons under monitoring (PUMs) on April 14.
The government is also eyeing on extending the quarantine of Luzon till the end of April, depending on the trend of the transmission./Stacy Ang
